How Long Does It Take to Walk to Mt Everest Base Camp? 

Everest Base Camp is 130 km long trekking adventure. Your trekking experience will span across a

stretch of around 15 days and 14 nights. To ease your mountain summit, your trek guide will split your
main camp target into small yet daily attainable goals.

#1 Everest Base Camp Trek Distance

Everest base camp is a classical trek which is 130 km long. On each way, there’s precisely 65km for
you to cover. To maintain your physical endurance, you will be covering a distance of around 15km per
day. However, to meet up daily distance targets, you need to keep an average walking pace of 5 km per hour. As your paths are filled with rocky terrains, and
gradual ascents, maintaining this walking pace throughout won’t be possible. The only motive to state it is that the average daily
distance is attainable by people of all age groups. 



#2 Length  of Everest Base Camp Trek


Your Everest Base Camp will last for around 15 days and 14 nights. Here’s how
you will be spending your days at Everest Base Camp – 

Day 1 – Kathmandu arrival 
Day 2 – Phakding (2652 m) trek 
Day 3 – Namche Bazaar (3440 m) trek
Day 4 – Namche Bazaar (3440 m) acclimatization 
Day 5 – Tengboche (3860 m) trek
Day 6 – Dingboche (4360 m) trek
Day 7 – Dingboche (4360) acclimatization 
Day 8 – Dughla or Thukla (4620 m) trek
Day 9 – Lobuche (4940 m) trek
Day 10 – Gorakshep (5170 m) trek followed by Everest Base Camp (5364 m) trek
Day 11 – Kala Patthar (5645 m) hiking followed by Pheriche (4940 m) descending
Day 12 – Namche Bazaar trek
Day 13 – Lukla (2800 m) trek
Day 14 – Kathmandu transfer 
Day  15 – Departure.
